The umbrella-grip is a detachable grip of umbrella which is grasped over
the Palmsonar in palm to extend shaft, to isolate vibrations and to scan without
rotating the umbrella. You can use the Palmsonar and an umbrella together
with a long cane. It is useful to walk in the rain under an umbrella when the eholocation
by ears is not sure.
Features
* It has a 33 mm diameter and 6 cm long cushion-part under a 18 mm diameter extension-shaft
which has a screw hole to an umbrella. The extension-shaft is made of beige ABS plastic.
The cushion is made of black rubber foam. It is 25 cm long and 90 grams.
* The extension-shaft extends the shaft of umbrella to position the Palmsonar
correctly.
* The cushion-part isolates vibrations to feel the vibration of the Palmsonar
better.
* The cushion-part rotates to let scan the beam of Palmsonar freely.
* It is replaced with the one of a common collapsible umbrella which has a screw-style
grip end.
How to use
* When you make the front two holes of the Palmsonar in line vertically, support
the bottom of the cushion-part by your middle and ring fingers, put the side of cushion-part
to the Palmsonar around the switch, and grasp both by your thumb. Put the
shaft of the umbrella on your shoulder to hold it.
* When you make the front two holes in line horizontally, put the bottom of
cushion-part on the Palmsonar, and grasp both.
* The cushion-part can be hung upside down on the edge of tables and such.
* Unscrew and detach it to keep them in a bag.
