The Palmsonar is a palm-held mobility aid as a cane of air for the navigation of the blind or vision impaired without collision or fall. An ultrasonic beam comes out from the front deep two holes in the direction of length. The whole aid vibrates when an object is in the beam.
Applications
1) By a short beam; you can follow a queue, find space or a vacant seat in a train, move about in a shop, and guide your hand to the objects.
2) As an Obstacle Detector by a fixed wide beam; you can trail road by a long cane at the other hand without collision.
3) Locating Objects by scanning a narrow beam; you can approach or avoid them.
4) Trailing Route Surroundings While Watching Obstacles by scanning a narrow beam; you can trail a route without collision with a long cane at the other hand. You can also move about in a work place of flat floor without a long cane.

* It is so small as to hide in palm that it does not occupy the hand. It is 20 mm wide, 31 mm high, 77 mm long, and 40 grams with a battery.
